Canna-Pet Natural Cannabinoids Review – Spider One Year On

I wrote a post on Canna-Pet’s natural cannabinoids back in September last year and how they have helped my boy Spider, and thought I would write a quick update on how he is doing now.

Spider has been on Canna-Pet for about a year now, and the adenocarcinoma that my vet removed from his ear a year ago has shown no signs whatsoever of growing back, even though she told me that it “may be back in a year or so”.  His kidney values have also improved, which is quite a miracle in a cat that has been in kidney failure for the last two years! This is surely in part due to Canna-Pet, but also helped by a supplement called Renafood which I give him once a day.

Apart from that, Spider’s fur has become extremely soft, he is more cuddly and responsive/vocal than ever, and his loud crying in the middle of the night only happens occasionally now. He has also become more active again – behaving like a much younger cat!  See this video of him jumping after his ping pong ball. :)

All in all, I am extremely pleased with these developments, and would recommend Canna-Pet to anyone who has tried just about anything, but nothing has helped, for their cats or dogs with cancer, epilepsy, diabetes, digestive tract problems, allergies and skin conditions, to name just a few.

Happy Lucky 13th Anniversary, Boys!

13 years ago I “married” my beloved tabby twins Lugosi and Spider. In 2015, we held a little “renewal of meows” ceremony which was featured on UK TV in Channel 5’s documentary about “cat crazies” called “90 Cats and Counting” (see our part from the documentary in the video below).

My boys are now 17 and a half years old and I don’t know if this is going to be our last anniversary, but even if it was, my love for them is for always and ever.

LOVE YOU big time, my sweet boys! And hey, Ruby, I love you too, of course! ;)

Disclaimer: I don’t care what people think about this. Just don’t end up with your mind in the gutter because it’s not meant to be serious, nor official or legally binding in a court of law. ;)

Spider and Lugosi’s initials immortalised in a cattoo on my leg.

Spider & Lugosi’s 17th Birthday Party

Spider & Lugosi celebrated their 17th birthday yesterday. Yes, that’s SEVENTEEN glorious long years, which translates to around 85 human years. My boys are the same age as my grandad now! :)

If you want to find out how old your cat is in human years (or yourself in cat years), there is a nifty cat age calculator in the sidebar of The Mad Cat Lady website.

2 Cellos Live in Madrid

I had a fantastic time at the 2 Cellos gig last Saturday in Madrid. It was an open air concert at the botanical gardens at the University of Madrid, and the 2 Cellos came on just after sunset, and because of a summer heatwave, the outside temperatures were still around 28C at that time of night.

In case you are not familiar with this duo, they are two rather handsome Croatian lads, who play a mix of classical, pop, rock and heavy metal on, yes you guessed it, 2 cellos!  Starting off gently with one of Bach’s Cello Suites, this was followed by some Spanish guitar played on cello (the crowd breaking into football chant “Olé Olé Olé Oléeeeee”, with the two lads joining in on their cellos!), and they then ripped into the heavier stuff like AC/DC, The Prodigy, Michael Jackson, Nirvana and Led Zeppelin.

These guys are truly amazing, and if they come to a town near you, I highly recommend you go and see them. :)

Hilarious Hail Satan!

This has had me in stitches so badly (and *still* has!) like nothing has had me in stitches for a long time. I will be giggling madly over this for about a decade, no doubt. ;)

Empty the Tanks – Protest Against New Dolphinarium at Rancho Texas Lanzarote

Lending our voices to the worldwide protests today against imprisoning dolphins and other cetaceans in water-filled concrete bunkers, like the one that Rancho Texas Park (which is a small local zoo) are building right now in Lanzarote.

I was disappointed though at the lack of actual *voices* making themselves heard.  Having looked at some of the other protests around the world today, there was a lot more noise being made to tell people what we are about and what we are protesting against.

Here in Lanzarote, people were just standing there, too busy chatting to each other, and appearing to expect passers-by to automatically know what our protest was about by seeing our posters. There were no chants or handing out flyers to educate tourists entering the zoo to let them know what we were actually doing there, and I feel the organiser was worrying more about us getting chucked out of the car park (which is a risk you take at any protest!) , than actually wanting to make an impact and get seen and heard. Talking to the press is, of course, all good and well, but a group of people just standing there looking cute is, in my opinion, rather pointless and I feel that we made little, if any, impact at all.

Yes, I know, there´s always a lot more “politics” to it all, but still, I can´t help express my disappointment – and that´s just a small part of what my blog is for: expressing my opinion! :)

Anyway, here are my photos and video.

My Chat on Lanzarote Mix Radio

I had the pleasure of getting invited by Jerry Lefever to appear on local Playa Blanca/Lanzarote radio station Lanzarote Mix last Friday, 29th May 2015.

Here´s a short part of it that I selfie-filmed with my mobile phone camera – hence my mouth movements being out of sync, haha! ENJOY.
